A culture of experimentation

We have no idea how to solve the multiple crises. Instead of proposing grand solutions, the way forward is incremental change through experimentation. Generate a hypothesis, test, evaluate, improve, new idea, test, evaluate, improve… Yet, especially in politics and academia, the concept of testing (and failing) seems to be alien.
